MARINES & GALAXY CHOCOLATE

MARINES: All shots are live action Anamorphic filmed at Camp Pendleton.  I was on scouts and set to collect HDRIs, Macbeths, Chrome balls and abundant reference of Marines vehicles to recreate assets in CG.

GALAXY CHOCOLATE: Three train cars erected in a studio in Romania.  I was on-set to collect HDRI's, Macbeths, Chrome calls, and camera data and oversee that shots and green screens would work for the CG elements added later.

GALAXY CHOCOLATE:

shot 1 - Train added to helicopter shot in Romania

Bird sequence on train: All birds are CG assets created from reference and working with an Ornithologist.

Flock is animated in Houdini and lit with Arnold in Maya.

Post it notes sequence:  All filmed in camera using a train car built on rollers to spin.  I oversaw the addition of loose post its to avoid CG elements being added later.

Ball sequence and tumbling sequence: Balls floating and popping are all CG.  Tumbling shot filmed using train car on stilts that tilted and actual balls added, and then augmented with CG balls later on.
